EN MOVEMENT PENDANT
Originally created for Common Things, the En Movement Pendant was inspired by the deep blue of handmade aizome paper from Tokushima. The design brings Japanese material heritage into contemporary architectural spaces through a modular and highly adaptable lighting form.
Its sculptural silhouette evokes clouds shifting gently through space. Individual shade forms can be combined to create pendants in a range of lengths, allowing the fixture to respond to the scale, rhythm, and character of each interior.
En Movement may be suspended vertically or horizontally and is available in indigo-dyed aizome washi, natural white washi, and natural wood finishes. Each variation gives the fixture a distinct expression—from deep and atmospheric to soft, warm, and neutral.
Designed for flexibility, En Movement is suited to residential, hospitality, retail, and public interiors.
MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each shade element is individually formed and assembled. The modular construction allows multiple elements to be combined into a continuous sculptural composition.
Subtle variations in dimensions, color, grain, texture, translucency, and form are inherent to the natural materials and handcrafted process, making every fixture unique.
