Signature Pieces
Traditional Kyoto fan-making, hinoki wood, and urushi lacquer meet contemporary portable lighting. An interchangeable handmade uchiwa gives each lamp an expression that can evolve over time.
Craft & Materials
Handmade washi, bamboo, and wood by Hachiya Uchiwa, whose fan-making techniques span more than 400 years.
Keihoku hinoki base by Yamada Wood Workshop, finished in urushi lacquer by Tsutsumi Asakichi Urushi. Brass detailing and integrated LED.
Natural variations in material and finish distinguish each piece.

An expansive ring of Japanese washi, suspended around a finely engineered framework. Created with Christopher Flechtner of Craftsman Collective, Tonda casts softly diffused light through a sculptural rhythm of paper and structure.
